Policy statement
The British Ring No.25 is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance, best practice and the rules of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
The welfare and interests of children are paramount. We aim to ensure that children and young people can enjoy the art of conjuring and magic in a safe, positive and appropriate environment, and that they are protected from abuse while learning and participating.
Our commitment
- Promote and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
- Ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding.
- Support appropriate learning opportunities to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns.
- Take appropriate action when concerns are raised or disclosed.
- Maintain confidential, detailed and accurate records of safeguarding concerns securely.
The British Ring No.25 recognises that some children and young people may be particularly vulnerable and accepts the responsibility to take reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure their welfare.
