Moria Fletcher

Moira Fletcher was born into a magical family and has spent a lifetime involved with the British Ring, its conventions and its community.

Her father, Duncan Fletcher, served as President of the British Ring from 1975 to 1976. Fifty years later, Moira is honoured to wear the presidential chain and continue her family’s connection with this wonderful organisation.

A lifetime of convention memories

A message from the President

Moira attended her first I.B.M. British Ring Convention in Southport in 1975 and has not missed one since. Alongside her sister Rena, she has helped with many parts of convention life, including registration, stewarding, the Parade of Flags, banquet and gala dinner, tombola, competitions and general support.

That hands-on experience gives Moira a deep understanding of what makes a successful convention: high standards, welcoming hospitality, exciting performers and a friendly atmosphere where delegates can enjoy the very best of magic.

“As we approach our centenary in 2028, my hope is that the British Ring continues to grow, support magicians everywhere and encourage more people to share in the joy of magic.”

During her term as President, Moira hopes to meet members across the country, encourage new members to join and help create events that are both memorable and inspiring.
