The 62nd Annual Convention of I.B.M. British Ring No.25, held in Eastbourne — five days of world-class performance, Star Lectures, the Close-Up and Stage Competitions, and the International Magic Gala Show.
The annual convention of I.B.M. British Ring No.25, one of Europe's longest-running magic conventions. Featuring international performers, Star Lectures, the Dealers' Magical Trade Fair, the Close-Up Competition for the Zina Bennett Trophy, the Competition for the New Silver British Ring Shield, Children's Showtime, and the International Magic Gala Show for the I.B.M.
President Derek Lever welcomes conventioneers to Eastbourne for the 62nd Annual Convention, to be officially opened by the President in the presence of The Worshipful The Mayor of Eastbourne, Councillor Mrs Beryl Healy, followed by Seaside Magic with Pat Fallon & Tanya, Luis Manuel, Barney Bay and Shirley Ray. The week's Star Lectures include Tony Curtis, Gene Anderson (USA), John Gaughan (USA), Ted Lesley (Germany), Ali Bongo, VIKJ, Boris Wild (France), Chad Long (USA) and Leslie Melville, alongside the Civic Reception Ball & Cabaret, the Close-Up Competition for the Zina Bennett Trophy, the Competition for the New Silver British Ring Shield, Eddie Dawes' Classic Variations and More History of Mystery, the Late Late Gala, Children's Showtime at the Devonshire Park Theatre, and the International Magic Gala Show presented for the I.B.M. across two houses on the Saturday.
