Welcome to I.B.M. British Ring 78th Annual Convention

The 78th Annual Convention of I.B.M. British Ring No.25, held 24th–28th September 2014 at the Bournemouth Pavilion, with the Convention Gala Dinner at the Royal Bath Hotel. Featuring international performers, Star Lectures, the Stage Competition for the British Ring Shield, The Sooty & Friends Magic Show, the International Stars of Magic and Variety Gala Show, and the History of Mystery presentation.

President Neil Roberts welcomed I.B.M. International President Shawn Farquhar and International Secretary Don Wiberg to Bournemouth for his 34th consecutive convention. The programme included the Opening Show with The Mind Boggler Pat Fallon and 2 Minds Combined, the Gala of Youth, Star Lectures throughout the week, the Stage Competition for the British Ring Shield, Special Venue Shows visiting local care homes and charities, the Convention Gala Dinner at the Royal Bath Hotel, The Sooty & Friends Magic Show, the International Close-Up Gala and the International Stars of Magic and Variety Gala Show. The convention closed with the installation of incoming President Alan Astra. Convention organisers: Brian Miller & Keith Cooper.

Conventioneers Trophy may be awarded for the greatest originality shown in effect, method, or presentation. Dittia Shield awarded for Manipulation. Tom Harris Cup awarded for Comedy. Ali Bongo Micro Marathon

A fun micro-magic competition, with competitors visiting as many tables as possible in around an hour and the winner decided by audience vote.
